Quantity Surveyor / NSR Biller NSR Biller Maintenance Quantity Surveyor MTC Specialist SOR Estimator Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / NSR Biller (Reactive Maintenance) Location: Leeds University Campus (Fully Site-Based) Day Rate: £350 £420 per day (Inside IR35 / Umbrella) Contract Type: 6 9 Month Contract (With a clear pathway to permanent staff status) Key Skills Required: National Schedule of Rates (NSR), Measured Term Contracts (MTC), Reactive Repairs Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor , NSR Biller , MTC Specialist , or Commercial Auditor who knows the National Schedule of Rates (NSR) inside out Looking for an immediate, high-paying contract on a major campus estate in Leeds We are urgently recruiting a contract Quantity Surveyor / NSR Biller to take immediate commercial control of a high-volume reactive maintenance framework across Leeds University Campus . This role is a direct replacement for an external consultant. We need an assertive professional who can hit the ground running, scrutinise contractor claims, and confidently apply NSR task codes to fast-moving day-to-day building maintenance works. Contractor Challenge: Confidently and robustly challenge inflated or incorrect claims from contractors, ensuring absolute value for money on high-volume repairs. Commercial Management: Track non-productive vs. productive non-NSR time elements, manage variations, and produce campus-specific cost reports. Operational Alignment: Partner with the live on-site estates and facilities management teams to ensure maintenance works cause zero disruption to academic teaching or student activities. Requirements: NSR Framework Expertise: Mandatory. You must be well-versed in the National Schedule of Rates (NSR) . (Note: If you have a heavy social housing background utilising the NHF schedule, this experience is highly transferable). Reactive Maintenance Background: Your core experience must be in high-volume, day-to-day reactive repairs and facilities maintenance lines , not just standard construction project packages. Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is preferred but not essential . Practical technical capability and absolute confidence when auditing contractor rates is the top priority.
