As a key member of the team, the CSA Construction Manager will be an exemplary ambassador for the company and its values of integrity, dependability, safety, pride and quality. Your Team In this position you will be working within our CSA team and directly reporting to the Project Director. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day delivery of the Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages, ensuring coordination with all MEP activities. Coordinate and manage site logistics, liaising with the client team to provide weekly updates on the logistics plan. Manage and supervise CSA subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of works. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved construction drawings, specifications and programme requirements. Coordinate and resolve technical and construction issues with the design team and project stakeholders. Review construction drawings and ensure site activities comply with design intent. Survey and record as-built information, ensuring accurate records are maintained throughout the project. Assist in preparing method statements and risk assessments (RAMS) with the construction team for all production activities. Monitor the delivery schedule and coordinate material deliveries to support the construction programme. Raise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve design queries in a timely manner. Monitor progress against the construction programme and provide regular progress reports. Produce short-term look-ahead programmes to assist site production planning. Carry out regular quality inspections, snagging and ensure timely close-out of all defects. Maintain document control, recording and transmitting project information in accordance with project procedures. Coordinate all information between the Client, Design Team, Project Management Team, subcontractors and suppliers, with particular focus on builder's work requirements. Ensure timely approval of all materials and systems through the technical submission process. Work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to manage cost-related issues associated with the CSA packages. Implement structured communication, progress reporting and performance monitoring with each subcontractor, including meetings, minutes, RAMS, technical submittals and snag management. Attend and actively contribute to Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, Coordination Meetings and Handover Meetings. Support the successful close-out of all CSA project activities, including QA documentation, Safety Files, O&M information and Final Accounts where applicable. Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, health and safety legislation, quality standards and project procedures. Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all works are delivered in accordance with Dornan's Health & Safety policies. Undertake all other reasonable duties as requested by your manager. About You Your Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in a Construction Manager, Senior Site Manager or similar CSA management role with a Tier 1 Main Contractor. Experience delivering large-scale commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial or data centre projects. Experience in working in a live environment and managing across multiple facets serving different stakeholders Experience managing multiple CSA subcontract packages simultaneously. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination with MEP trades. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. Proficient with project management and information management software. Experience in being client facing Your Qualifications Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. Chartered status or working towards chartership is desirable. Essential Strong knowledge of civil engineering, structural works, building envelope, architectural finishes and fit-out. Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site logistics. Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Strong understanding of quality assurance, health & safety and Building Regulations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. Proven experience delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget.
