Job Title: Assistant Site Manager - Residential Housebuilding
Location: Northumberland / North East
Position: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a premier, North East-based housebuilder known for delivering high-quality, sustainable residential developments. Building a diverse portfolio from high-spec family houses to stylish coastal homes, they take immense pride in craft, safety, and customer satisfaction across all their active developments.
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely alongside the Site Manager to oversee daily site operations, maintain strict health and safety compliance, and ensure build progression stays on track to the highest standards. You will play a hands-on role in trade management, quality control, and driving homes through to final customer handover.
Daily Site Supervision: Assist the Site Manager in organizing daily sub-contractor activities, plant, and material deliveries.
Quality Assurance: Carry out rigorous stage-by-stage inspections to ensure builds meet NHBC/LABC standards and company quality targets.
Health & Safety: Enforce site safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Program Execution: Keep track of build schedules, helping resolve operational bottlenecks to hit agreed handover milestones.
Customer Care: Assist with pre-handover inspections, snagging clearances, and customer home demonstrations.
Experience: Proven track record as an Assistant Site Manager (or experienced Finishing Foreman ready for a step up) within residential housebuilding / private development.
Trade Background: Strong technical knowledge of timber frame and traditional masonry construction methods.
Standards & Focus: Eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to high NHBC/LABC scores.
Certifications Required:
Valid CSCS Card (Supervisor/Manager)
SMSTS or SSSTS
First Aid at Work
Location: Based in or within reasonable commuting distance of Northumberland / North East sites, with a full UK driving license.
