Assistant Services (M&E) Manager

£40,000 £45,000 + package, dependent on experience

Location: Oxfordshire / Surrounding Areas

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Services (M&E) Manager to join a leading construction business delivering a diverse range of high-value projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will be either mechanically or electrically biased and will support the delivery of M&E packages, working closely with specialist subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team.

Projects span a variety of sectors, including pharmaceutical, commercial, automotive and healthcare, providing excellent exposure to complex and technically demanding schemes.

The Role Working alongside the Services Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with the coordination of M&E design and liaising with external consultants.
  • Supervising specialist M&E subcontractors through effective communication and proactive site involvement.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the site and ensuring M&E works progress in line with the programme.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, compliance and communication.
  • Attending programme meetings and helping ensure the agreed construction programme is maintained.
  • Progressing M&E design queries and providing technical support to the project team.
  • Working with Building Control to ensure systems meet the required standards for handover.
  • Liaising with client consultants throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
  • Coordinating the demonstration and handover of completed systems.
  • Supporting a collaborative, solutions-focused approach across the project.
About You We're looking for someone with:
  • HND or equivalent qualification in an M&E-related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering mechanical or electrical packages on new-build construction projects.
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with subcontractors, consultants and project teams.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to teamwork.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
Package
  • £40,000 £45,000 salary, dependent on experience
  • £3,150 car allowance
  • 5% pension contribution, increasing to 10% after 2 years
  • 25 days' annual leave + an additional day for your birthday
