Senior Project Manager / Project Director RC Frame & Groundwork Packages - London £90,000 - £120,000 + Benefits (PAYE or Self-Employed) About the Employer: This business is one of my top clients. Having worked with them for the past 10+ years, I have seen them develop in both size and capability over this time. They now currently turnover above £120 million per annum, building concrete frame and groundwork packages ranging in value up to £50 million each for a variety of residential and commercial contractors and developers throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties. They have a very modern edge to the business while maintaining traditional roots. On a personal note, I believe this company is one of the best because of the environment they create for their people and because of the personalities of the superb senior management/directorship team. They go that extra mile to not only retain their staff but to truly keep them happy to be with the business. Small things have been added to the office, like a gym that people have access to all day. They have a treatment room where massages and cosmetic treatments are available to everyone on Fridays, free of charge. And they now even have a rooftop garden and BBQ area. I d want to work here myself if I had the relevant experience! About the company: Our privately owned client who is based in Central London is a leading name within the enabling works industry with a group annual turnover in excess of £200M. They undertake technical civil engineering projects throughout the City with values ranging up to £40M and their services include demolition, basement construction, RC frames, temporary works, remediation, earthworks and concrete works. With a low staff turnover, this contractor, who operates as principal contractor on the majority of their projects, rarely recruits, and this opportunity has arisen purely due to company expansion. Having worked closely with this business for over 10 years, I would highly recommend them to professionals looking to join a forward-thinking contractor that can offer the opportunity to work on large, technical engineering projects in Central London and throughout the UK. About the opportunity: Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Preconstruction Technical Manager who will be responsible for assisting the preconstruction lead, working alongside preconstruction managers and estimators, to ensure tenders are technically considered and can be successfully delivered by site teams. As a Preconstruction Technical Manager, you will be responsible for producing and giving tender review presentations and leading site walks to better understand and develop tender strategies moving forward. As a Preconstruction Technical Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to leading the technical development to unlock complex projects; coordinating and managing technical answers and prioritising the overall delivery of the tender programme and solution; producing programmes utilising Asta; supporting PQQ process and providing technical answers to the bid management team; producing temporary works design briefs, creating outline method statements and managing subcontractor quotation teams to deliver best possible deliverable programmes and prices to name just a few duties. Projects you will be involved on will be valued up to £40M, and these range from top-down demolition to complex cut and carve structures with hydraulic jacking, infilling within retrofit projects and newbuild large towers with deep basements. About the requirements: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold an industry-related degree and proven experience of either working onsite as a Project Engineer or Project Manager within RC/Build environments, ideally within Central London (and be keen to move into Preconstruction) or already be operating as a Preconstruction Manager. Additionally, you must have good presentation skills and the ability to develop construction sequences and programmes of work for the most efficient working methods. About the benefits and rewards: For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £75,000 - £90,000 per annum; however, the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer which includes all travel expenses covered, private health care and enrolment in their pension scheme. Lastly, due to the current team structure and a growing company, fantastic career progression opportunities will be available. How to apply: If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please send a copy of your CV to me or call the main office landline to discuss further on a confidential basis.
