Working Pattern: Full Time, 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3.30pm, hybrid

Our client, a prominent organisation within the Business Support sector, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Development Officer. This role is pivotal in leading the development of large and specialist projects at both Force and Regional levels. Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and Planning: Take charge of projects from initiation to completion, utilising project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 to ensure success.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a dedicated team of Property Services Project Officers, coordinating efforts and resources across departments for efficient project execution.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders affected by project changes, developing effective communication strategies and documentation for governance boards.
• Governance Oversight: Establish and maintain a robust project governance structure, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
• Risk Management: Act as the central point for risk and issue management, implementing solutions and escalating concerns as necessary.
• Post Project Review: Conduct detailed reviews post-project to capture lessons learned and share best practises within the Property Services Department.
• Leadership & Development: Guide the team in new starter induction and ongoing learning, managing processes related to contract tendering and project risk.
• Security Standards Reviews: Lead the implementation of security standards for all projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Who We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Relevant professional qualifications and experience in managing construction-related projects from start to finish.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven analytical skills to assess client requirements and prioritise effectively.
• IT proficiency, including experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Project) and AutoCAD (desirable).
• A full UK driving licence, as travel to various locations is essential.
