We are recruiting a freelance Project Coordinator to support the delivery team on a civil engineering project at Sellafield.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Senior General Foreman and Project Manager, taking responsibility for the day to day paperwork, records and project administration needed to keep the site organised and compliant.

The successful candidate can begin working remotely while the required Sellafield clearance is completed. Once cleared, the role will move onto site at Sellafield for approximately 50 hours per week.

Digs, travel costs and a meal allowance will be provided in addition to the agreed contract rate.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the Senior General Foreman and Project Manager with project paperwork and administration
  • Maintaining accurate site records, document registers and project files
  • Assisting with RAMS, construction records and compliance documentation
  • Updating trackers, spreadsheets, reports and progress information
  • Recording and distributing meeting notes and project actions

  • Supporting timesheets, labour records, delivery information and general site administration
  • Keeping records organised, current and ready for review or audit

  • Reducing the administrative workload placed on the operational delivery team

We are interested in candidates with experience as a:

  • Project Coordinator
  • Site Administrator
  • Project Administrator
  • Document Controller
  • Technical Administrator
  • Engineering Administrator
  • Construction Administrator
  • Project Support Officer

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous project administration or document control experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, nuclear or another regulated environment

  • Experience managing high volumes of project records and compliance paperwork
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Excel and document management skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently while taking direction from the Senior General Foreman and Project Manager
  • Willing to complete the required Sellafield security and site-clearance process
  • Available to work remotely initially before moving onto site
  • Able to work approximately 50 hours per week at Sellafield once cleared
  • Comfortable working away when required

Previous Sellafield clearance may help shorten the onboarding process, although candidates without current clearance can still be considered. Clearance typically takes between two and six weeks, and remote project support can begin before site access is completed.
