Senior Quantity Surveyor (High End Residential)

My client is a premier, design-led construction firm specialising in ultra-prime residential developments and luxury bespoke homes who are seeking a Lead Project Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor. Operating across some of the most exclusive postcodes in South West London, they deliver exceptional turnkey solutions-from complex basement excavations to exquisite bespoke joinery.

Partnering with top-tier architects and interior designers, they pride themselves on outstanding craftsmanship and a meticulous approach to detail. Due to a strong pipeline of prestigious new builds, heavy refurbishments, and extensive extensions, they are looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their dedicated team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of bespoke residential projects from inception to final account. You will work closely with site teams, high-net-worth clients, and leading architects to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time, and strictly within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of high-end residential projects (new builds, extensive refurbishments, and super-basements).

• Conduct tender analysis and manage the procurement of specialist subcontractors and high-quality materials.

• Prepare and manage precise cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and monthly valuations.

• Identify, price, and negotiate variations and final accounts.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with site managers, elite architects, and demanding clients.

• Ensure rigorous cost control without compromising the exceptional quality the company is known for.

• Experience: A proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK construction market, ideally within the high-end/super-prime residential sector.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of bespoke construction processes, including basement builds, structural alterations, and high-end finishes/joinery.

• Skills: Exceptional commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently liaise with high-net-worth clients and premium design teams.

• Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) is preferred.
