Senior Hire Controller

Senior Hire Controller opportunity near Braintree with lifting and plant machinery hire specialists, offering bonuses, healthcare, holidays, and career progression.

Our client is an established lifting and plant machinery hire business with a friendly working environment and a strong customer focus. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the hire desk.

• £35,000 £40,000 per annum
• Two bonus payments per year

As Senior Hire Controller, you will take a lead role within the hire desk, overseeing two coordinators and ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting two hire coordinators
• Handling customer enquiries by telephone and email
• Processing hire orders accurately and efficiently
• Coordinating equipment availability and customer requirements
• Resolving customer queries and hire-related issues
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the hire desk
• Building strong relationships with customers and internal teams
• Ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained

You will ideally have experience within the plant, lifting equipment or machinery hire sector and be confident managing customer enquiries, orders and issues.

Relevant backgrounds could include hire control, hire desk operations, rental management, branch support or hire coordination. You should be organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking responsibility while supporting colleagues.
