Senior Bid Writer - Building Maintenance

We are currently working with a leading Building Maintenance provider to recruit a Senior Bid Writer for their growing bid/business development team. The role will be hybrid based, split between home and an office in Waltham Abbey

Our client is a market-leading provider of compliance, maintenance, decarbonisation and energy services, delivering critical services to social housing and public sector customers across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of opportunities, they are looking to appoint a talented Senior Bid Writer to support the production of compelling, high-quality tender submissions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bid professional who enjoys creating winning content and wants to play a key role in securing major contracts within the social housing and public sector sectors.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing engaging, persuasive and high-scoring tender responses across a range of public sector and social housing opportunities.

Working closely with operational, commercial and technical experts, you'll develop compelling content, case studies and win themes that clearly demonstrate the company's strengths, experience and value proposition.

This role would suit an experienced Bid Writer looking for greater responsibility or an established Senior Bid Writer seeking a new challenge within a growing and successful business.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit and review high-quality responses for SQs, PQQs, ITTs and framework opportunities.
• Interpret client requirements and develop tailored responses that maximise scoring potential.
• Work with operational and technical subject matter experts to gather information and develop content.
• Create compelling case studies, evidence and supporting documentation.
• Support the development of bid strategies and key win themes.
• Ensure all bid content is compliant, accurate and aligned to client requirements.
• Coordinate clarification questions and responses throughout the tender process.
• Maintain and continuously improve the bid content library.
• Support presentation materials and client interviews where required.
• Participate in bid reviews and lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience working to tight deadlines across multiple opportunities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of social housing, compliance or maintenance services would be highly advantageous.
