Accounts assistant

A well-established and growing organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join its friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to take ownership of key transactional finance processes within a supportive and collaborative environment.Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Duties will include:

• Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Preparing weekly payment runs
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Monitoring and maintaining finance inboxes
• Processing employee expenses and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
• Reconciling company credit card transactions
• Assisting with banking activities and account reconciliations
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc bookkeeping and accounting tasks

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within a Bookkeeping, Accounts Assistant position
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
• AAT qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous
