Job Description
Constructive Moves are looking to secure a Senior Estimator for a specialist contractor based in Hertfordshire. This opportunity will offer the chance to work on innovative project solutions across multiple sectors including residential, education, health, and commercial in the South East of England.
As Senior Estimator you will need to have current knowledge of new-build development and contracting projects with familiarity of the UK construction regulations such as, JCT and NEC contracts.
You will be expected to have experience in construction estimating and tender preparation, the ability to measure drawings and preparing bills of quantities using software like Bluebeam and Estimate as well as knowledge in Excel to manage cost comparison spreadsheets.
Duties will include the following:
- Prepare accurate estimates and commercial submissions for allocated tenders.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Preparing measured quantities and bills of quantities to support tender pricing.
- Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Identify and assess tender risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Assist on post-tender commercial negotiations and supporting handover to project delivery teams.
This is a permanent full-time position based at the office headquarters in Hertfordshire. The company offer hybrid working solutions and a collaborative working environment where team culture is encouraged.
Salary levels will be assessed on application and will be reviewed subject to experience level and background.
