Multi Trade Operative
Location: Oxford
Salary: Up to £43,441
Hours: 37 hours per week

An established organisation delivering property maintenance and compliance services is looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join its team in Oxford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Multi-Trader with strong carpentry skills and proven fire door experience to work across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of property maintenance and fire safety remedial works, with a particular focus on carpentry, fire door installation and repairs, alongside general multi-trade duties.
The Role
You will be responsible for completing high-quality maintenance, repair and fire safety works, ensuring properties are maintained to a safe and compliant standard.
The role will suit an experienced Multi-Trade Operative who is particularly strong in carpentry and joinery and has hands-on experience working with fire doors and associated remedial works.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, adjust and maintain fire doors and associated ironmongery.
- Carry out a range of carpentry and joinery repairs.
- Complete FRA-related remedial works and passive fire protection tasks.
- Undertake general property maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
- Carry out minor works in areas such as plastering, plumbing, tiling, brickwork and making good.
- Complete repairs and maintenance within occupied residential and commercial properties.
- Use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Accurately complete digital job records and relevant compliance documentation.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service when working in occupied properties.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements
- Strong carpentry skills with relevant trade qualification or substantial experience.
- Previous experience within property maintenance, social housing, facilities management or a similar environment.
- Good general multi-trade skills with the ability to complete a variety of maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a property maintenance/construction environment.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than five penalty points.
