Private Sector Housing Team Leader
The role will include:
We're looking for:
South West
55- 60 per hour
6-month rolling contract
Park Avenue Recruitment are working with a Local Authority in the South West who are looking for an experienced Private Sector Housing Team Leader to support their HMO Licensing and Enforcement function.
You'll be leading a team of Environmental Health / Housing Enforcement Officers while remaining hands-on with complex HMO licensing and enforcement casework.
The role will include:
- Leading the HMO Licensing and Enforcement team
- Managing Mandatory, Additional and Selective Licensing applications
- Overseeing HHSRS inspections and complex enforcement cases
- Supporting the reduction of licensing and inspection backlogs
- Managing notices, civil penalties and prosecution work
- Allocating workloads and supporting team performance
We're looking for:
- Strong Local Authority Private Sector Housing experience
- Extensive HMO licensing and enforcement knowledge
- Good working knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and HHSRS
- Previous team leadership or management experience
- Confidence dealing with complex enforcement cases
