This opportunity would suit an electrically qualified professional currently working as an Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Supervisor, Assistant Project Manager, Electrical Site Manager or Junior Contracts Manager who is seeking greater responsibility and clear progression towards a Contracts Manager position.

You'll work closely with senior management and project delivery teams, providing support with delivering of electrical projects from pre construction through to completion.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the management of multiple electrical projects.
• Coordinating labour, subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Supporting project planning and program management.
• Monitoring project costs, variations and commercial performance.
• Attending client, design and progress meetings.
• Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on program and to the required quality standards.
• Supporting handover documentation, O&M manuals and project close-out activities.
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery teams.

Requirements:

• Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Experience delivering electrical installations within the commercial, residential or mixed-use construction sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Commercial awareness and a desire to progress into Contracts Management.
• Knowledge of project delivery, cost control, variations and construction contracts (JCT/NEC) is advantageous.
• SSSTS, SMSTS or ECS accreditation would be beneficial.
