Customer Care Coordinator New Build Repairs & Defects

Milton Keynes £25,000 £35,000 Full-time

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm

After successfully completing your six-month probation, you can choose to work from home three days a week.

Overview

A leading drylining contractor is looking for an experienced Customer Care Coordinator New Build Repairs & Defects to take control of customer care repairs, defects and remedial works across new-build developments and occupied homes. Developer-side customer care experience is important: you will understand the pressure of coordinating residents, site teams and operatives when access changes, jobs overrun and priorities move. This is a busy scheduling role that needs excellent organisation and tight, hour-by-hour control of the diary.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of customer care repairs and defects from instruction through to completion

• Plan and control the repairs diary hour by hour, scheduling patchers and operatives across multiple developments and occupied homes

• Liaise closely with developers, site managers, subcontractors, quantity surveyors and homeowners

• Book appointments, confirm access and keep residents informed when timings or arrangements change

• Prepare quotations for remedial and chargeable works

• Process variation orders and monitor approval status

• Track labour, materials and commercial costs

• Maintain and update internal Excel trackers and reporting systems

• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports

• Monitor the live workload throughout the day, responding quickly to delays, urgent repairs, cancellations and changing site priorities

• Order materials and coordinate collections

• Manage customer care documentation, photographs and site records

• Assist with resolving customer complaints professionally and promptly

• Support management with operational and commercial administration

Skills and Experience Required

• Customer care experience on the developer or housebuilder side is important, with a clear understanding of repairs and defects in occupied homes

• Excellent organisation skills are essential, with the discipline to keep a busy diary accurate and under tight control

• Confident using Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication skills with confident telephone manner

• Able to juggle multiple appointments, urgent issues and changing priorities without losing track of detail

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Comfortable dealing with site staff, contractors and residents

• Professional, customer-focused approach
