Beck London is seeking an experienced and highly organised Document Controller to join its growing team and support the successful delivery of high-profile construction projects across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction document control and a proven track record of managing project documentation within a fast-paced environment.
A key requirement for this role is advanced knowledge of Asite. Candidates without previous experience using Asite will not be considered.
The Role
As Document Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all documents are accurately recorded, distributed, and maintained in accordance with company and client requirements.
Working closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients, you will play a critical role in maintaining document control processes and ensuring compliance across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all project documentation using Asite
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, technical submissions, specifications, RFIs and project correspondence
- Control the receipt, classification, distribution and filing of project documentation
- Ensure all documents are uploaded, reviewed and distributed in line with project procedures
- Monitor document revisions and maintain detailed revision histories
- Support project teams with document management processes and system administration
- Produce regular document control reports for project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and document control procedures
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and clients regarding documentation requirements
- Archive project documentation upon project completion
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a Document Controller within the construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of Asite (essential)
- Experience managing documentation on large-scale construction projects
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
