Job Description

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting a dependable site labourer for an ongoing contract working on a secure defence project in the Northallerton area.

This is a long-term contract offering steady hours for a reliable operative. Working closely with the site management team and main contractors, you will be assisting with daily site logistics, trade support, and keeping a high standard of health, safety, and security across the site.



Role Responsibilities:

  • Assisting various sub-contractors and site trades with moving materials and equipment safely across site.
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organised work areas and access routes, adhering strictly to MOD/defence site safety policies.
  • Clearing construction waste, sweeping up, and loading skips.
  • Assisting with the unloading and distribution of site deliveries.
  • Carrying out general physical labour and manual handling tasks as directed by the Site Manager.


Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
  • BPSS / SC Security Clearance (Or willingness/eligibility to undergo background clearance vetting due to the nature of the site).
  • Previous experience working as a labourer on commercial, civil, or defence construction sites.
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and respect for site security protocols.
  • Easily commutable to the Northallerton area.
