We are recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy housing management team in Salford on an initial 4-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with experience in tenancy management, ASB, safeguarding, estate management, and supporting vulnerable residents to manage a mixed patch of high-rise and sheltered housing schemes.

- Salary Equivalent: £35,412 per annum
- Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Working Pattern: Hybrid working (minimum 2 days from home, 3 days office/community-based)

About the Role
You will be responsible for managing a defined neighbourhood patch and acting as the main point of contact for residents. The role involves delivering a high-quality housing management service while working closely with internal teams and external partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing tenancy and estate management matters
- Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases
- Responding to safeguarding concerns and supporting vulnerable residents
- Conducting tenancy visits, property inspections, sign-ups, and viewings
- Managing complex resident cases and tenancy-related issues
- Working collaboratively with Social Services, Police, Fire Service, local authorities, and other agencies
- Attending multi-agency meetings and supporting community engagement initiatives
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Housing Officer or within housing management
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience
- Proven experience managing ASB cases
- Experience supporting vulnerable tenants and complex households
- A good understanding of housing legislation and tenancy management practices
- Excellent communication, organisation, and case management skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Candidates must be comfortable using their own vehicle and travelling across their designated patch and other operational areas as required.
