What you will be doing

Our Contractual Advisor is an integral part of our construction team. The core role of the Advisor is to provide contractual advice and guidance to our construction teams to help deliver our projects to the standard expected from one of the leading contractors in the UK and Ireland.

The role is exciting and varied. It ranges from reviewing and negotiating complex contract amendments, assessing contractual risks and assisting with contract administration.

Day to day duties include:

  • Reviewing and negotiating main contract amendments;
  • Generating subcontract documents;
  • Assisting the project team in negotiating the terms and conditions of subcontract packages;
  • Delivering advice on how the main contract/subcontract operates;
  • Provide ad hoc support on contractual matters;
  • Prepare and deliver training seminars on standard forms and amended contract terms.

What We re Looking For

Essential

  • Bachelor s Degree, or equivalent qualification, in law or a construction related field such as QS, Civil Engineering, Project Management
  • A working knowledge of the NEC and JCT suite of contracts

Desirable

  • A qualification in construction law, ICE LCMC or similar would be of benefit.

Experience

  • The job opening skill level is best suited to applicants with 1-4 years relative experience.
