Site Manager to join their South Coast division.
Their project portfolio spans
1M to 12M across healthcare, independent education, commercial refurbs, heritage/listed restoration, and community developments across Hampshire and West Sussex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Leadership: Act as the or lead Site Manager on schemes up to 6M (or on larger 10M+ builds), taking full ownership of day-to-day site operations, logistics, and quality control.
- Relationship-Driven Management: Work collaboratively with local sub-contractors, consultants, and clients, embodying a "fair payment and honest communication" ethos on site.
- Health & Safety First: Maintain immaculate site standards, strict safety protocols, and clear site documentation.
- Short-Term Programming: Drive 2-to-4-week lookahead programmes, coordinating trades to ensure key milestones are hit seamlessly.
- Client Handover: Focus heavily on defect-free handovers and pristine finishes, keeping the client informed throughout every phase of the build.
What We Are Looking For:
- Main Contracting Background: Proven track record as a Site Manager delivering 1M- 8M new build or complex refurbishment schemes for a regional main contractor.
- Versatile Project Experience: Background in education, healthcare, commercial, or heritage/listed building works is highly desirable.
- Quality & People Focus: Someone who manages trades through mutual respect, clear organization, and high standards rather than aggressive confrontation.
- Location & Travel: Based in or around Southampton / Portsmouth / Chichester, happy to travel to project sites along the M27/A27 corridor (Southampton across to West Sussex).
- Tickets: CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work. Trade background or HNC/Degree in Construction is preferred.
