Head of Construction & Trade Services - Contract Location: LoughboroughContract: Full-time, 3 months End of August Until November 2026Start Date: End of August 2026Duration: Until November 2026Rate: £400-£450 Per DayAre you an experienced Head of Construction & Trade Services looking for your next contract, and available for a quick start.We are seeking a Head of Construction to provide short-term management support across our Further Education provision. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight across a broad range of construction curriculum areas, potentially including:

• Construction
• Multi-Trade
• Brickwork
• Painting & Decorating
• Plumbing & Gas
• Other associated construction curriculum areas

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FE Manager who is confident leading a curriculum department, managing staff and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Construction curriculum across 2 colleges
• Provide effective leadership and support to curriculum staff.
• Oversee the day-to-day management and delivery of the curriculum.
• Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, student experience and outcomes.
• Monitor curriculum performance and support improvement activity where required.
• Manage curriculum resources, staffing and operational requirements.
• Work collaboratively with senior leaders and curriculum teams to ensure effective provision.
• Ensure compliance with relevant FE, safeguarding, health & safety and quality requirements.

About You We are looking for someone with:

• Significant management experience within Further Education.
• Experience leading a curriculum department or broad curriculum area.
• Strong knowledge of Construction and/or related vocational provision.
• Experience of curriculum planning, quality assurance and performance management.
• Available for quick start
