About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Handyman to support the maintenance team within a busy student accommodation site in Manchester.
Working 24 hours per week, you will assist with general repairs, maintenance tasks and the upkeep of communal areas to ensure residents have a positive living experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general maintenance and repair work across the accommodation site
- Basic plumbing, painting, decorating and carpentry tasks
- Replacing fixtures, fittings and light bulbs as required
- Conducting routine safety and maintenance checks
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Ensuring communal areas remain safe, tidy and well maintained
- Supporting the wider facilities team with planned and reactive maintenance
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance operative or facilities role
- Good all-round DIY and maintenance skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting and repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
