Commercial Manager Location: Northamptonshire (Head Office) with UK-wide project travel as required
Salary: £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits (DOE)

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for leading the commercial function across a portfolio of projects, ensuring commercial success from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for leading the commercial function across a portfolio of projects, ensuring commercial success from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
- Overseeing the commercial delivery of multiple construction and fit-out projects.
- Managing contract negotiations, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
- Monitoring project profitability and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Providing accurate forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial performance.
- Working closely with Operations, Estimating and Pre-Construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supporting business growth through commercial strategy and continuous improvement.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial role within a main contractor.
- Strong background delivering construction, refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management processes.
- Experience leading commercial teams and mentoring Quantity Surveyors.
- Strong financial, contractual and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
