About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join a well-established and growing building services organisation.
This is a key position responsible for managing the successful delivery of multiple mechanical contracts, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget while maintaining excellent client relationships.
The role would suit either an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager or a technically competent Mechanical Engineer looking to step into a contract management position. You will combine technical knowledge with commercial awareness to oversee contracts from initial mobilisation through to completion, supporting operational teams and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical building services contracts from award through to completion.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
- Monitor programme performance, budgets and resource allocation.
- Support commercial performance by identifying variations and additional works.
- Produce quotations and cost estimates where required.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with current health & safety legislation and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Produce regular contract reports and attend client meetings as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience managing mechanical contracts within the building services or M&E sector.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing costs and contract performance.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualification.
- IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience within M&E or building services environments.
- Knowledge of lifecycle planning, sustainability initiatives and energy management.
- Full UK driving licence.
