Job Description

We are currently looking for a Highways Operations Coordinator. You will be working in Derby.

Monday - Friday

07:30am - 16:00pm

Temp Contract - Ongoing

Pay rate - 17.18ph paye

Job Purpose

To coordinate and supervise delivery of highway maintenance services, ensuring it is completed safely and efficiently and in line with our statutory duty, to keep the highway network safe at all times.

Main Duties

  • Scheduling and resource planning repairs and schemes with appropriate teams, aligning tasks with their skillsets and availability to meet agreed timescales
  • Secure necessary permits, plant, and materials for projects, in consultation with Highway Team Leaders and Delivery Managers.
  • Coordinate cyclical maintenance activities and joint improvement initiatives, to ensure highway assets operate at optimal performance
  • Supervise highway work and operatives, agency workers and contractors, ensuring compliance with robust health and safety processes.
  • Audit gangs for punctuality, site safety, productivity and quality workmanship. Record findings in asset management systems to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Assist with client quoting and scoping, including conducting site visits and communicating throughout the duration of schemes.
