Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing and dynamic team based in Stockport. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing mechanical projects, with expertise in HVAC systems. This role will involve overseeing projects from initial design through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position will require travel to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical and HVAC projects from inception to completion
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant health, safety, and building regulations
  • Manage project risks, variations, and change control processes
  • Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as required
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to senior management
  • Ensure high-quality delivery and client satisfaction across all projects

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong background in mechanical services and HVAC systems
  • Experience managing projects from design through to completion
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles (budgeting, scheduling, risk management)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Worked on Rail projects (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
