Job Title: Fire Door Surveyor
Location: Berkshire & Surrey (with travel across surrounding areas)
Salary: up to £45k + Package

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Door Surveyor to join our growing team, covering sites across Berkshire and Surrey. This is a field-based role involving the inspection, assessment, and reporting of fire doors to ensure full compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fire door inspections in residential, commercial, and public sector buildings
• Assess fire doors and components against relevant standards (e.g. BS 8214, BS 476, EN 1634)
• Accurately record findings using digital reporting systems
• Identify non-compliance issues and recommend remedial actions
• Liaise with clients, site managers, and contractors professionally on-site
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety requirements
• Produce clear, concise, and compliant survey reports

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fire Door Surveyor or in passive fire protection
• Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and industry standards
• Relevant certifications (e.g. FDIS Diploma, BRE, or equivalent) preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Comfortable using tablets/software for reporting
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Strong communication and client-facing skills

Desirable

• Experience working across social housing or commercial property portfolios
• Knowledge of compartmentation and wider passive fire protection systems
