Senior Commercial Manager

With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation for innovation and client satisfaction, we are looking to strengthen our commercial team with an experienced Senior Commercial Manager.
The Role
As Senior Commercial Manager, you will take a leading role in overseeing the commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring profitability, risk management, and contractual compliance. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and senior leadership to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial function across multiple design & build projects
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes
• Manage and administer contracts (JCT and/or NEC)
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks
• Lead procurement strategy and subcontractor negotiations
• Monitor project financial performance and report to senior stakeholders
• Mentor and develop junior commercial staff
• Support business development and client relationship management

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Senior Commercial Manager or similar role within design & build or main contracting
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT/NEC)
• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field (preferred)
