Job Description

A Civils Foreman role on an Energy-from-Waste (EfW) new build project in the UK involves overseeing site operations, managing crews, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include :
- Supervising Site Operations: Manage daily activities, including waste handling, mobile plant operations, and site logistics.
- Team Management: Lead a team of operatives, ensuring they're trained and equipped to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Monitor work quality, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Safety and Environmental: Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Communication: Liaise with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Planning and Organisation: Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines.

Typical requirements for a Civils Foreman role include:
- Experience: Proven track record in civil engineering or construction, preferably in EfW or similar sectors.
- Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS card, and relevant industry certifications.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
