The Role We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Finance Manager to lead financial operations and support business growth. This role combines day-to-day financial management with strategic input, working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting - Manage day-to-day finance operations (invoicing, expenses, reconciliations, cash flow)
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
- Monitor performance against budgets, identifying risks and trends
- Support project-level financial tracking
- Assist with development viability appraisals
- Manage CIS returns and supplier compliance
Budgeting & Forecasting - Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting processes
- Collaborate with leadership on budgets and resource planning
- Provide financial insights for pricing and strategic decisions
- Prepare financial models for funding and investment
Compliance & Systems - Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations
- Liaise with external accountants on audit and statutory reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Improve financial systems and processes
- Support digitalisation of finance systems
Leadership & Collaboration - Act as a financial advisor to senior stakeholders
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance teams
- Support operational and workforce planning
Requirements - 5+ years experience in finance (construction/property/professional services preferred)
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practice
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in project-based financial planning (desirable)
BIM Awareness - Understanding of BIM principles and terminology
- Awareness of ISO 19650
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE)
