Job Title: Estimator (Civils & Renewables)

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to support pricing and tendering activities across a portfolio of civils and renewable energy projects. You will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and supporting competitive bid submissions.

Scope of Works:

• 33kV cable installations
• Substation carriage run works
• Ducting installation
• Groundworks and associated civils
• Tarmac and reinstatement works
• Civils packages across construction and renewable energy projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civils projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Conduct take-offs and quantify materials, labour, and plant requirements
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
• Support bid strategy and ensure submissions meet client requirements
• Maintain accurate cost databases and benchmarking data

Requirements:

• Proven experience estimating within civils and/or renewable energy sectors
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, ducting, and tarmac works
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Contract Length: Minimum 12 months
• Location: Various sites across Scotland and the UK
• Flexibility required for occasional travel to the Shetland Islands (all expenses covered
