CIVILS SITE SUPERVISOR - CABLE ROUTE PROJECT - CORNWALL Civils biased Site Supervisor required for a contract opportunity within our Renewables and Energy sector! The Role Reporting into senior operational leadership, the SHEQ Manager will take responsibility for driving SHEQ performance across multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence are maintained. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring close collaboration with operational teams, clients, supply chain partners and SHEQ professionals to support the successful delivery of utility and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage SHEQ performance across a major utilities framework. Provide leadership, guidance and support to operational teams, supervisors and SHEQ Advisors. Drive continual improvement initiatives across Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance. Conduct audits, inspections, investigations and assurance activities. Monitor compliance with company procedures, client requirements and industry standards. Produce SHEQ reports, KPI data and performance updates for senior management. Support project planning, risk management and operational decision-making. Promote and develop a positive SHEQ culture throughout the business. Coach, mentor and develop SHEQ personnel across the contract. Build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners. About You To be considered for this position, you should have: Chartered IOSH status (CMIOSH) or be working towards Chartered Membership. NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Proven experience operating at SHEQ Manager level within a comparable environment. Strong people management and leadership experience. A background within utilities, water, power, gas, infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects. Experience managing SHEQ performance across multiple projects, sites or operational contracts. Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and management systems. Desirable Experience Previous experience working on water utility frameworks. Experience within regulated utility environments. Exposure to large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Understanding of quality and environmental management systems.

SHEQ Advisor based in Leeds, Cardiff or Kettering. The Opportunity A growing infrastructure and utilities contractor is looking to appoint a SHEQ Advisor to support projects across its UK operations. This role would suit a motivated and personable SHEQ professional with experience within utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure environments who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive, family-oriented business. Working closely with operational teams, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, conducting site inspections and audits, supporting compliance activities and coaching teams on best practice. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace assessments across active projects. Monitor compliance with company procedures, client requirements and legislation. Inspect temporary works, excavations, traffic management and general construction activities. Produce audit reports, improvement plans and lessons learned documentation. Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings. Support incident investigations and corrective actions. Assist with risk assessments and method statement reviews. Requirements NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement). Tech IOSH membership or working towards. 2-5 years' SHEQ, Health & Safety or Compliance experience. Previous experience within utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, water, power, gas, ICP or DNO environments. Good understanding of CDM Regulations. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload. Full UK Driving Licence. Right to work in the UK. UK construction or utilities experience. Desirable NEBOSH Fire Certificate. Fire safety experience. Experience delivering toolbox talks or training sessions. Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or similar). Temporary Works knowledge. Utilities network experience within water, power, gas, ICP or DNO projects. Working Pattern Office based from either Kettering, Leeds or Cardiff (Pontypridd). Candidates should ideally live within approximately 30 minutes of one of the offices. Significant site travel required. Mileage paid at 45p per mile. Flexibility and hybrid working opportunities may be available following successful onboarding and development.

The project involves the renewal and upgrading of the site's existing power infrastructure , so we are ideally looking for someone with an electrical background or strong understanding of electrical works . Experience working around 11kV and 33kV systems would be highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently Managing site teams, subcontractors and other site personnel Ensuring works are carried out in line with CDM regulations Organising resources, labour and site activities Maintaining strong communication across the site team and project stakeholders Monitoring progress and ensuring works remain on programme Attending site meetings and coordinating with other project teams Ensuring health, safety and quality standards are maintained Supporting the delivery of electrical and power refurbishment works About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Site Manager Strong knowledge of CDM regulations Excellent organisational and communication skills Confidence managing people and subcontractors on site An electrical bias or strong understanding of electrical works Ideally, experience working with 11kV / 33kV systems Experience within power, electrical infrastructure, utilities or similar environments
