Key Responsibilities Initial Duties • Assist in the preparation of tenders, including issuing enquiries and gathering relevant information • Support project management activities, including purchasing and organising plant, materials, and sub-contractors • Assist with monthly invoicing and applications for payment • Compile Operating & Maintenance manuals for completed projects, including mark-up and printing of Record Drawings • Attend site commissioning and witness client training sessions • Support the day-to-day running of the department • Attend site meetings alongside engineers • Survey and price small-scale projects • Source and locate parts/materials to support engineers • Provide site support and technical assistance when required • Assist the Service Department with technical support Long-Term Development Opportunities As experience grows, responsibilities will expand to include: • Surveying and estimating new works independently • Increased involvement in design input • Full management of projects from inception through to completion • Preparation and completion of handover documentation • Submission and agreement of Final Accounts Candidate Profile • Engineering qualification (or working towards one) preferred • Strong organisational and communication skills • Proactive attitude with willingness to learn • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; experience with project software advantageous) • Full driving licence preferred What We Offer • Structured career progression • Hands-on experience across all stages of project delivery • Supportive team environment • Salary £30k to £40k DOE If you are ambitious, technically minded, and looking to build a long-term career in mechanical engineering, we would love to hear from you.
