About the role We are looking for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you will: Carry out stock condition surveys on our properties, inspecting internal and external components. Our client, a market leader within the Utilities industry, is looking to recruit a Building Compliance Surveyor on a contract basis for 6 months initially. The purpose of this role is to design and deliver a programme for managing all required building compliance activities including re-inspection surveys and identified routine maintenance activities to enable statutory compliance with applicable legislation. Our client, a market leader within the Utilities industry, is looking to recruit a Building Compliance Surveyor on a contract basis for 6 months initially. The purpose of this role is to design and deliver a programme for managing all required building compliance activities including re-inspection surveys and identified routine maintenance activities to enable statutory compliance with applicable legislation. Accountabilities * Planning and undertaking compliance surveys and routine maintenance activities on a large portfolio of building assets across the business * To carry out ad-hoc building compliance surveys of any type on property, write reports and make suitable recommendations regarding remedial action where necessary. * Carry out ad-hoc compliance sampling including asbestos and legionella and interpret analysis reports for communication to relevant stakeholders * Create and deliver emergency short term reactive (make safe) solutions and long term remedial action plans including the instruction and supervision of remedial works on site. * Undertake small Non-Licensed asbestos removal/repair activities as identified * To be responsible for managing major remedial projects, acting in the operational interests of the business at all times and to supervise compliance technicians during minor remedial projects to ensure compliance. * Prepare inspection records and recommend remedial works to ensure Health and Safety compliance with current regulations * Define and scope solutions that are specific to operational sites and their uses * Maintains all Building Compliance registers for all building assets * To maintain any equipment including personal protective equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protective equipment (RPE) that may be used as part of the surveying and sampling process. * Provide expert technical advice to the business relating to relevant statutory compliance legislation and best practice.
