The role:
An opportunity has arisen at Gower College Swansea for a Learning Area Manager in Engineering . A diverse Learning Area, the curriculum includes programmes across levels 1-5, with a full degree programme (level 6). A strong Work based Learning provision forms part of the delivery activities. Staff are passionate and committed in ensuring the many learners in this area achieve their full potential, through innovative teaching styles and excellent outcomes.
The programmes are currently delivered at two campuses, Tycoch and Gorseinon, with circa 75% of the provision being delivered at the Tycoch campus.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project is progressing as planned, is completed on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards; and that sub-contractors are performing, best practice is being followed, and there is good information flow. The successful candidate will have experience managing large scale construction projects, particularly in the energy, hydro or water sectors, and a good understanding of excavations, working on sloped sites and the pumped hydro energy storage technology.

Manage and coordinate all activities on-site, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Our client specialises on the maintenance of commercial buildings and have projects throughout the London, Midlands, and Northwest regions. Due to new growth through new contracts won and subsequently new projects commissioned, my client are now looking to add an experienced Senior A/C Engineer
The role is heavily a/c based, which is mainly Daikin, and the candidate will need to have an F-Gas qualification. Our client are looking for a dynamic, driven, self-motivated engineer who is very professional and extremely client facing. The candidate will work independently or in a team - 1 other on site engineer.
The A/C Engineer is responsible for:
* Complete PPM to HVAC equipment within our contracts, FCU’S, AHU’S, Pumps, Motors, Lighting & Emergency Lighting.
* Complete PPM tasks, basic plumbing tasks; ball valves and toilet systems, basic electrical tasks; ballasts, batteries and L8 water hygiene tasks.
* Ensure that sub-contractors used on your sites are carrying out work in accordance with company instructions.
* Ensure all reports are completed and submitted as required.
* Ensuring all site feedback and internal CAFM systems are up to date.
* Completing Weekly timesheets.
Ideal Candidates will have:
* Solid experience within the M&E/Facilities Management/Building services Industry.
* Experience working on AC & Mechanical Systems
* Experience working on Commercial Projects.
* Strong Technical experience, MS Office, EXCEL etc. (Ideally CAFM systems)
* Great Interpersonal Skills (Able to communicate, effectively and efficiently.)
* Level 3 Qualification or higher in either the Mechanical, Electrical or HVAC disciplines (Not Essential)

Working across a variation of high value London based projects you will have a proven track record of delivery across all sectors including; Data Centres, Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Education, Hotels, Retail and Residential.
Duties will include:
Acting as a Project Leader on selected projects
Attending principal meetings and making client presentations on selected projects
Raising / promoting the level of technical excellence relating to Mechanical engineering within the team
To undertake technical reviews and contribute to the design concepts for the Mechanical aspects of projects.
Over time, develop the ability to become a point of contact for key clients and help generate repeat business through customer care of existing clients.
