The Role You will support the buying team with: Raising and processing purchase orders Tracking deliveries and updating project teams Confirming prices, lead times and availability with suppliers Maintaining accurate procurement and supplier records Assisting with quotation comparisons Resolving routine delivery and invoice queries Arranging returns for damaged or incorrect materials Updating internal spreadsheets and purchasing systems Liaising with suppliers, site teams and Project Managers About You You will be organised, accurate and confident communicating by phone and email. Previous experience in administration, purchasing, stock control or customer service would be beneficial. Construction experience is not essential, provided you are keen to learn and develop. Are you a commercially focused Buyer who enjoys negotiating, solving supply problems and keeping construction projects on programme? An established specialist contractor is looking for a Buyer to manage procurement across a portfolio of roofing and cladding projects. Working closely with Project Managers, design teams, site teams and suppliers, you will take ownership of material purchasing from initial enquiry through to final delivery. This is a fast-paced role where strong buying decisions will have a direct impact on project cost, quality and programme.
