KEY INFORMATION • Reason for vacancy: Continued business growth and increased tender pipeline • Contract: Contract • Salary: £60,000 £78,000 / Day rate up to £300 per day (dependent on experience) • Shifts: Monday to Friday RESPONSIBILITIES • The role: Prepare accurate tenders, cost plans, and pricing submissions for civil engineering and construction projects Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation Complete quantity take-offs, pricing exercises, and cost evaluations Source and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations Support bid submissions, value engineering, and commercial strategy Prepare contract documentation and assist with pre-construction planning Identify project risks, opportunities, and margin improvement areas Liaise directly with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders Contribute to securing profitable new business opportunities • Key Skills Required: Proven Estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, or consultancy sectors Strong commercial and financial understanding Experience producing BOQs, tender submissions, and detailed cost plans Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills Strong communication and client-facing ability Proficiency in Excel and estimating software packages Knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts advantageous Full UK driving licence preferred Serply Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
