A growing construction consultancy in London is looking for an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team. The Assistant Project Manager will work across a strong pipeline of industrial and new-build developments, alongside selected commercial property projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager looking to gain broader project exposure, take on greater responsibility and progress within a supportive consultancy environment.

The successful Assistant Project Manager will typically have around 1-3 years' industry experience, although strong construction-related graduates will also be considered. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with experienced colleagues while being given the opportunity to lead smaller projects as their experience develops. For an ambitious Assistant Project Manager, the business can also provide APC support and a clear route towards chartership.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.



The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of projects from the early stages through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities will include assisting with project programmes, coordinating design teams, attending client and site meetings, monitoring project progress and supporting the management of cost, quality and programme requirements.

As experience develops, the Assistant Project Manager will have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller projects and manage them directly, providing a strong platform for progression towards Project Manager level.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 1-3 years' Project Management or construction consultancy experience

  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

  • Experience or an interest in industrial, logistics, new-build or commercial property projects

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A proactive attitude towards career development

  • An interest in working towards APC and professional chartership
