Ensuring commercial activity complies with strict internal governance, contractual and project requirements. Essential Experience Candidates should demonstrate: Significant experience at Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Manager or equivalent level within construction. Strong experience working within a Tier 1 or major main contracting environment. Experience commercially managing significant construction projects, ideally £60m+. Strong practical knowledge of NEC forms of contract. Experience developing and implementing pricing and procurement strategies. Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting, cash flow and commercial risk. Experience managing payment exposure and contractual liabilities. Proven experience recruiting, managing and developing commercial teams. Ability to operate effectively with senior clients and stakeholders. Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline. Security & Confidentiality Due to the nature of the project, confidentiality and the ability to work within a security-controlled environment are important requirements of the position. Candidates should be comfortable progressing through a recruitment process where certain information regarding the client, project and scope cannot be disclosed initially. Previous experience working on secure, defence, nuclear, energy, critical infrastructure or other highly regulated projects would be advantageous. Existing security clearance and/or BPSS would also be beneficial.
