Senior DM - Bristol

We are working with a leading construction and engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Design Manager to support the delivery of major projects across the data centre and defence sectors.

With a growing portfolio of complex developments across the South West, including major data centre projects and strategic defence schemes, this is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in design strategy, technical assurance and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design management across major construction projects.
• Develop and implement design delivery strategies.
• Manage design governance, technical compliance, programme and risk.
• Drive value engineering, design optimisation and commercial performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Lead, mentor and develop design management teams.
• Promote best practice, innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

• Significant experience managing design delivery on major construction projects.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong understanding of contractual, technical and statutory requirements.
• Experience in design governance, risk management and value engineering.
• Relevant degree or industry qualification (RIBA, CIOB, ICE or equivalent).
• Chartered status desirable, with a valid CSCS card.

Security clearance: Candidates must hold SC clearance or be eligible and willing to obtain it.
