  • Assisting with contract administration, predominantly under JCT contracts
  • Supporting value engineering and commercial risk management
  • Assisting with client and subcontractor final accounts
  • Attending site, project and commercial meetings
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Undertaking regular site visits across the contractor's project portfolio

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have some previous commercial or Quantity Surveying experience within a main contractor or construction environment.

  • Knowledge of JCT contracts would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to develop commercially
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to work with site teams and subcontractors
  • A full UK driving licence
Candidates at different stages of their Assistant QS career will be considered, with the salary reflecting previous experience and commercial capability.

What you'll get in return

  • £28,000 - £45,000 salary, dependent on experience
  • £4,000 car allowance
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • 21 days' annual leave
  • Statutory bank holidays
