Quantity Surveyor - Roads and Highways Civil Engineering

Location: Maidstone, Kent
Rate: 400- 450 per day (LTD)
Duration: Until March, with a potential 2-month extension

We are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support highways and Section 278 works in Maidstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS with experience in civil engineering, highways or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the commercial aspects of highways and Section 278 works.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance.
• Prepare and manage valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and commercial risk management.
• Liaise with subcontractors, clients and the wider project team.
• Ensure contractual and commercial procedures are followed throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure.
• Experience with Section 278 works is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

Contract Details:

• 400- 450 per day, LTD.
• Contract until March, with a potential 2-month extension.
• Based in Maidstone, Kent.
