Repairs Supervisor

Job description

Our client is a social housing contractor seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to manage and lead directly employed trade operatives. This role is covering areas in and around Enfield

Role and responsibilities

• Support Contracts Managers to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Schedulers to deploy operatives efficiently and keep jobs on track.
• Ensure repairs are delivered on time, to standard and within budget.
• Carry out pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality, compliance and value for money.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve issues and manage customer complaints.
• Support environmental targets and stay ahead of legislation and best practice.
• Monitor materials, stock, costs and operative performance against targets.
• Keep up to date with repairs systems, technology and industry standards.
• Take a proactive, flexible approach and support the wider repairs team.

Requirements

• Supervisory or line management experience in a reactive repairs environment with directly employed operatives.
• Social housing experience
• Hands on trade experience
• Familiarity with mobile technology and IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to motivate staff.
• Willingness to work out-of-hours when required.
• Full UK Driving Licence
