Job Title: Site Manager Retrofit / Social Housing

Location: Rickmansworth, High Wycombe, Harrow & Chelmsford
Contract: 6 months initially
Employment Type: Temporary or Temp-to-Perm

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a contractor delivering retrofit and energy-efficiency improvements across social housing properties.

The successful candidate will oversee works across multiple locations, initially starting in Chelmsford before moving across other sites in Rickmansworth, High Wycombe and Harrow.

This role would suit a Site Manager with experience delivering retrofit or planned works within social housing, who can manage site activities effectively while ensuring all project documentation and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of retrofit and energy-efficiency works across residential properties.

  • Manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

  • Coordinate the installation of solar panels, loft insulation, ventilation measures, windows and doors.

  • Ensure all relevant project documentation, evidence and records are maintained in line with SHDF requirements.

  • Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

  • Monitor progress across multiple locations and report any delays or issues to the wider project team.

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

  • Liaise with residents, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure works run smoothly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within retrofit, social housing or planned maintenance.

  • Knowledge and understanding of PAS 2030/2035 is highly desirable.

  • SMSTS and First Aid qualifications are essential.

  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating works across occupied residential properties.

  • Strong organisational skills, with a focus on documentation, evidence keeping and compliance.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple workstreams.

Contract Details

  • Initial 6-month requirement.

  • Option to work on a temporary basis for the full duration or move onto a 3-month fixed-term contract following 12 weeks.
