ROLE PURPOSE
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and commercially astute Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our bespoke high-security door and entrance installations. Acting as the primary link between their internal CAD/manufacturing teams, clients, main contractors, and on-site installation crews, you will ensure that every project is delivered safely, on time, to exact technical specifications, and within budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage multiple high-security door and architectural metalwork projects simultaneously from initial order handover through design, manufacturing, site survey, delivery, and final installation sign-off.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, main contractors, and architects, maintaining clear, professional communication regarding project timelines, progress updates, and technical queries.
- Coordinate production schedules with our in-house manufacturing and CAD teams in Birmingham alongside on-site installation teams to ensure seamless sequencing.
- Monitor project budgets, track variations, manage procurement lead times, and assist with cost control and billing milestones.
- Ensure all site operations strictly adhere to company Health & Safety policies, CDM regulations, method statements, and risk assessments (RAMS).
- Verify that all manufactured systems meet our rigorous LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) and ISO quality standards prior to dispatch and installation.
KEY REQUREMENTS
- Proven track record as a Project Manager within manufacturing, construction, fenestration, architectural metalwork, or security/steel doors.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, CAD designs, and complex technical specifications.
- Strong contract awareness with a solid understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and variation management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the capability to lead cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and site operatives effectively.
- Relevant project management certification or relevant construction/engineering qualifications (CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS) are highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence, as travel to client sites across the UK will be required.
