This is a fast-paced commercial environment that requires a proactive, reliable worker who is used to assisting on large-scale hospitality or residential refurbishments. Key Responsibilities Assisting electricians with 1st and 2nd fix installations in hotel bedrooms and en-suites. Pulling cables and assisting with the installation of lighting, power, and data points. Helping with basic containment work (trunking, tray, and conduit). Fetching and organizing materials, tools, and equipment. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Adhering strictly to site health and safety protocols. Requirements Valid ECS Card (Essential). Proven previous experience working as an Electrician's Mate on commercial or high-end residential sites. Basic hand tools and standard full PPE. You will be working as part of an efficient, friendly team to deliver critical infrastructure and aesthetic upgrades before the children return for the September term. Key Responsibilities: LED Lighting Retrofit: Removing outdated fluorescent fittings and installing high-efficiency commercial LED panels and occupancy sensors across classrooms. Small Power & Trunking: Running plastic dado trunking, pulling cable, and installing new double sockets and Cat6 data points for interactive whiteboards and IT suites. Electrical Tester Location: Lakeside Shopping Centre, Grays (RM20 2ZP) Start Date: Monday 13th July Duration: Long-term contract (Until Christmas) Hours: 07 00 (Standard day), with optional overtime available up to 18:30 daily. Pay Rate: £29 - £33 per hour (CIS) We are looking for a qualified Electrical Inspection & Testing Engineer / Electrician for a long-term commercial contract at Lakeside Shopping Centre. The initial phase involves the testing, inspection, and emergency lighting survey of distribution boards and circuits within the car park structures. Following the initial testing phase, the role will transition into remedial works, including distribution board upgrades and new lighting installations. Key Responsibilities Carry out full EICR testing and inspection on distribution boards (10 per circuit) located across the site car parks. Accurately log all defects and complete necessary test certification. Conduct a comprehensive emergency lighting survey and associated testing. Execute follow-up remedial works, including upgrading distribution boards. Install new commercial lighting systems across the car park areas. Small Works Manager (Electrical) Location: Midlands (Office-based with national site travel) Package: 40k - 55k + Company vehicle provided This is an office-based position in the Midlands, suited for someone looking to manage small electrical works from initial client contact through to completion. While the role is office-based, you will be required to travel nationally for site visits and face-to-face client meetings. Key Responsibilities Client & Site Management: Attend site visits, meet with clients, and act as the main point of contact for small works projects. Pricing & Estimating: Quote and price small electrical jobs accurately. Project Delivery: Organise the necessary trades, labour, and materials to ensure jobs are completed on time. Handover & Compliance: Issue project certification and compile Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals upon completion. Requirements Strong background in the electrical sector (technical knowledge of electrical installations is essential). Experience in pricing small works and coordinating labour/materials. Pipefitter (Commercial Heating / Site Projects) Location: West Mids Position: Freelance / Contract Duration: 12 months (ongoing) The Role We are seeking experienced, reliable Pipefitters to work on a variety of long-term commercial heating projects in and around the West Midlands. This is a role for dedicated professionals who can work independently, maintain a high work rate, and take genuine pride in the quality of their installations. Primary Responsibilities Commercial Heating Systems: Installation and modification of commercial heating infrastructure, including plant room pipework, distribution loops, and heat emitters. LST Radiator Installation: Full installation of Low Surface Temperature (LST) radiator units and associated protective covers. Pipework: Working with threaded and screwed steel tube up to 32mm. System Completion: Carrying out full system fill, venting, and pressure testing to ensure complete system integrity. Site Standards: Maintaining a productive pace while adhering strictly to site safety, schematic drawings, and quality standards. Requirements Technical Skill: Proven experience in commercial heating installations and pipefitting, specifically with steel threading, plant room systems, and LST installations. Tools and PPE: Must possess a full kit of standard pipefitting tools (including threading equipment appropriate for the scale) and all necessary PPE.
