Electrical Site Manager - North Scotland
Location: North Scotland
Rate: 500- 600 per day
Start date: ASAP
End date: 31/01/2028
Rotation: 12 days on / 2 days off
Travel: Days 1 and 12 are considered travel days, with a travel allowance provided
Turner Lovell are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK energy infrastructure organisation delivering major electricity transmission projects across the UK. We are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to support the delivery of a major electrical infrastructure project
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of M&E works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the project programme, quality standards, and client requirements.
Working closely with the wider project management and engineering teams, you will manage subcontractors, site teams, resources, and multiple work fronts, ensuring the M&E works are properly planned, coordinated, and delivered to programme.
Duties
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of M&E site activities
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and multiple M&E work fronts
- Plan, sequence, and coordinate M&E works in line with the overall project programme
- Ensure labour, plant, materials, and technical information are available to maintain programme delivery
- Monitor progress against programme and proactively manage risks, delays, changes, and technical issues
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with RAMS, SHEQ procedures, specifications, and client requirements
- Lead daily site briefings, coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and site activities
- Liaise closely with engineers, subcontractors, project managers, the client, and other site disciplines
- Take responsibility for site records, progress reporting, documentation, and handover requirements
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to the required standards
- Ensure effective coordination between Mechanical, Electrical, Civils, and other project disciplines
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the project
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, programme delivery, and site performance
Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager / M&E Manager on major infrastructure, construction, energy, power, or industrial projects
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, site teams, and multiple work fronts
- Valid CSCS or relevant site safety qualification
- SMSTS required
- Strong understanding of RAMS, SHEQ requirements, construction processes, and site management
- Ability to manage programme delivery, resources, and competing site priorities
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
