Hays Civil Engineering are working with a growing specialist contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK water sector. Due to continued growth and a major project award in Warwickshire, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their delivery team.The successful candidate will play a key role on a significant wastewater treatment works upgrade programme. The project includes the construction of reinforced concrete structures, process infrastructure, pumping station improvements, pipelines and associated civil engineering works on a live operational site.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and long-term opportunities within the AMP8 investment period.

Your new role

As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for day-to-day site operations, ensuring that work is delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing site activities and coordinating subcontractors
  • Driving health, safety and environmental performance on site
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme requirements
  • Coordinating labour, plant and materials
  • Managing site inspections, permits and quality records
  • Liaising with engineers, commercial teams and client representatives
  • Supporting project reporting and progress reviews
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship across multiple work fronts

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects
  • Experience within the water or wastewater sector is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and quality procedures
  • Experience managing subcontractors and self-delivery teams
  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete, structures, utilities or treatment works construction
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
