Internal Site Manager

I've been tasked to find a Internal Site Manager for a reputable main contractor on a freelance basis. It is an immediate start and will finish in December 2027.

The project is a new build school worth circa 80m, including a new car park. It consists of building a primary school, secondary school and sixth form. You will be leading the fit out across the project, this includes classrooms, sports halls, meeting rooms etc.

The internal works starts at the beginning of November and runs for a year, we will need someone for the duration.

You'll be reporting to an on site Senior Project Manager and work in alongside another permanently employed Senior Site Manager.

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid at Work

Responsibilities for the Internal Site Manager

  • Manage the day-to-day internal works on the construction site.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise internal trades and subcontractors.
  • Ensure internal works are completed to programme and agreed deadlines.
  • Coordinate works such as drylining, plastering, carpentry, flooring, decorating and M&E.
  • Check that work is completed to the required specification, drawings and quality standards.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections and identify defects or poor workmanship.
  • Manage and monitor the internal snagging process through to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure trades are working in the correct sequence and do not delay one another.
